= How To Support of Bookmarks =

This document is intended for users who are upgrading from ePEARL 2.0 and who want to continue supporting the bookmarks that were made for that version. 

== Where ePEARL 2.0 was installed ==

In most cases, ePEARL was installed in the web root directory of your web server so that the link to it was http://myserver.com/epearl/ (This is referred to as Case 1)

Sometimes, though, ePEARL was installed *as* the web root directory, so that the link to it was http://epearl.myserver.com/ (This is referred to as Case 2)

== Supporting Old Bookmarks ==

If you had installed ePEARL in the manner shown in Case 2, you do not have to do anything. Your old bookmarks should all function as expected. Try this out and contact epearlhelp@education.concordia.ca if you have any trouble.

If you have installed ePEARL as seen in Case 1, follow theses steps to support old bookmarks:

1. Copy the folder named 'webroot/ltk/bookmarks' to 'webroot/bookmarks'
3. Rename the copied folder to from 'webroot/bookmarks' to 'webroot/epearl'

This folder contains the most common files that were bookmarked. Each of the files in this folder has been programmed to redirect users to the new equivalent files.
