= Install ABRA's Content Database = As of January 2009, the Learning Toolkit contains ABRACADABRA. Previously, a link to a public, online version of ABRA was included in the LTK but the files themselves were not. Including ABRA in the LTK allows it to interface with ePEARL and with LTK student data. Now that ABRA is included within the LTK, the link to the public, online version is no longer available. ABRA requires a content database in order to function. This database must be installed before using ABRA. Unlike epearl's database, this database is read-only and does not contain any student information. Here are the steps needed to install ABRA's content database: == Step by Step == 1. Download the latest version of the LTK and upgrade or install your installation following instructions. 2. Log in to the LTK as the administrator (username: admin). 3. From the administrator environment, click LTK Settings. 4. Click LTK Applications tab. 5. Click "Install ABRA" and follow instructions. You wil be asked to create an empty database that can be used for ABRA content. You can use PHPMYADMIN to create the database by navigating to ltk/phpmyadmin in a browser. 6. When the ABRA content has been successfully installed, you will be returned to the main menu of the administrator environment. After you have been returned to the main menu of the administrator environment, navigate the LTK Settings > LTK Applications and turn ABRA on if it isn't already. If you are turning ABRA on for the first time, you will need to edit each school under "Schools, Classes, Students & Teachers" and enable the "School can use ABRA" option. == Troubleshooting == If you have any questions, email 'epearlhelp@education.concordia.ca'.
