ePEARL is designed to encourage parents' active involvement in their child's learning.

The software allows parents to:

• Navigate through ePEARL together with their child in "Parent Mode"
• Leave comments on specific entries as well as on the portfolio as a whole
• Follow their child's progress through the year
• Encourage their child and provide positive support

When navigating with a parent, students can switch to "Parent Mode", which activates parent comment boxes in various designated places.

Embedded support is provided for parents, if and when they feel they need help in contributing meaningful comments on their child's learning.
